I become a Driving Instructor because of my previous careers having spent 22 years in the Army predominately with horses where I had instructed in various subjects both skill based and the theory . When I retired from the army I moved into sales and ended up driving 50K+ miles a year in countries all across Europe. When I was doing a lot of miles I decided to take my IAM Advanced Driving Course and it was here I gained a passion for Road Safety achieving a “First” ( the highest pass level possible). I had set myself on a course that I did not know was going to influence me just a few years down the line.
In 2017 I decided to move out of Sales and work for myself , it was then that I retrained myself and qualified at the end of 2018 as an ADI.
When not teaching I enjoy cycling, both Mountain Biking over the South Downs or on the road . I have a passion for all things country, I enjoy nothing more than walking in order to spot the wonderful wildlife we have in this country and enjoying the breath-taking views , although to be honest most of the wildlife seems to come to my garden for a free feast on my vegetables .
